500 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program
This 500 hr program is an advanced level Teacher Training program, open to any graduates of a Yoga Alliance certified 200 hr level course.
The 500hr designation refers to the total cumulative hours of both programs. The 500hr designation is the highest level of Yoga Teacher training recognized by the Yoga Alliance.
This 500hr program is designed so that you can complete the different components at your pace, over 1-3 years. The components can be done in any order. A certificate will be awarded at the completion of each component. Your 500 hr certificate will be awarded after the completion of the entire training.
Curriculum includes the following components:
- 12 day Therapeutic Intensive in Hawaii -- May 16- May 28th 2010-open for regsitration
- 6 week Internship
- 6 week Mentorship
- 8 Weekend workshops on therapeutic yoga topics

12 Day Therapeutic Intensive in Hawaii, May 16-28 2010
(required component for 500 hr certificate)
This Intensive training will provide you with a working knowledge of how to apply yoga therapeutically to clients with specific health concerns.
Topics include:
- Applied anatomy for therapeutic yoga
- Asana modifications for different health concerns
- Therapeutic pranayama, mudra & meditation
- Sequencing for different needs
- Practice teaching (to groups and to private clients)
Each day begins with a meditation and asana class. There will be a 2 ½ hour break in the afternoon. There is one full day off to explore the local area and enjoy the beauty of Hawaii.
12 Day Therapeutic Yoga Intensive Tuition: $1800* CDN
$400 deposit required to secure your spot.
This Intensive will be held at Kalani Oceanside Resort on The Big Island of Hawaii,
* plus accomodation, flights and food
